More About Us
Our community needs the arts now more than ever! We believe our work serves an important purpose; EPAC events are social activities that are uplifting, enriching, and morale boosting in the long winter months. We provide a full season of family-friendly entertainment and education that is not currently being offered by any other organization in our northern Yellowstone community. School workshops, provided in conjunction with most of our art events, ensure that local students can participate in additional arts opportunities despite recent school budget cuts.
Over 700 area residents and students attend Electric Peak Arts Council (EPAC) programs and school workshops each season. Financial and in-kind support from businesses and individuals like you makes a huge difference in our ability to provide engaging world-class arts programming for the community, while keeping admission prices affordable (and free for students and seniors).
As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), the EPAC Board strives to minimize operational expenses. CharityWatch considers a charity to be highly efficient when year-end calculations produce a programming percentage of 75% or greater. In recent years, EPAC directed more than 91% of its budget to programming. In addition, CharityWatch gives top ratings to charities that meet benchmarks for governance and transparency. Over the past five years, EPAC strategically developed its board and established and implemented policies to aid in effective and transparent governance. This behind-the-scenes work has enabled EPAC to operate with great efficiency.
To address possible impacts from Covid-19, we delayed the start of our 2020-21 season until November, and have prioritized Montana and regional artists to minimize the impact from uncertain travel conditions. We will follow state public health recommendations to develop an operating plan that will allow our community to enjoy the arts while minimizing their risk of exposure to the virus. In the event that we have to cancel events, your support will be used for alternative or future arts programming.
Becoming an EPAC sponsor is a great way to show your commitment to the arts and the local community. Thank you for your support!
Testimonials
"EPAC and its dedicated group of volunteers help bring performances to Gardiner that wouldn't otherwise be possible. Each program offers the community an evening out to enjoy music or a play usually in the dead of winter when otherwise the only other option for cultural experiences is driving 50-80 miles. The group pours its heart into volunteering with EPAC in order for all of us to enjoy the diverse programs. Our little community is very close but on these evenings when we are all enjoying a great show I feel like it brings us even closer! Great job working tirelessly and steady over the years to enrich the community of Gardiner!" J.C., Gardiner, MT
"EPAC is a wonderful organization. They brought Supaman, a Native American performer to us, before he started getting a lot of attention…our kids benefit immensely from the exposure to different cultures and artists. Thank you, EPAC!" K.D., Gardiner, MT
